About the Role:

We are seeking a Senior Manual QA Engineer to take ownership of software quality across our platforms, drive testing standards, and mentor team members. In this role, you will go beyond traditional execution by leveraging AI-driven testing workflows, guiding technical strategies, and serving as a bridge between manual testing excellence and basic automation practices.

Responsibilities:

• Quality Leadership & Strategy: Lead the overall QA strategy, design comprehensive test plans, and define quality standards across complex web, mobile, and backend applications.

• Testing Execution & Risk Management: Perform advanced manual, regression, integration, smoke, and exploratory testing. Accurately estimate QA effort, evaluate task complexity, and plan testing timelines for sprint deliverables. Proactively identify architectural, resource, and delivery risks early in the development cycle, driving effective mitigation strategies.

• AI-Driven QA Optimization: Deeply integrate AI tools into the daily QA workflow to streamline test case generation, synthesize test data, accelerate root-cause analysis, and refine testing processes.

• Mentorship & Team Guidance: Act as a technical mentor for Junior and Middle QA Engineers, guiding their individual development plans, reviewing test documentation, and establishing best practices.

• Process Improvement & Community: Collaborate closely with Tech Leads, Developers, and Product Managers to optimize the SDLC. Actively participate in and drive the internal QA community.

• Quality Ownership: Take complete accountability for feature releases, ensuring high usability, functionality, and performance standard before software reaches production.

What we expect from you:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Web and Mobile application testing.

• Deep Understanding of SDLC & STLC: Proven ability to build end-to-end test strategies, evaluate coverage metrics, and manage defect lifecycles in complex environments.

• AI Mastery: Practical experience using AI tools (e.g., Claude, GitHub Copilot, Codex) for test planning, prompt engineering, synthetic data generation, and rapid defect analysis.

• Advanced API & Technical Skills: Solid experience with API testing (Postman, Bruno, or similar tools), client-server architecture, and intermediate SQL (joins, subqueries, data validation).

• Leadership & Management Skills: Proven ability to mentor peers, delegate tasks, organize QA workflows, and manage priorities under tight release schedules.

• Communication: At least Advanced (C1) level of English with strong stakeholder communication skills.

• Mindset: Proactive problem-solving, high adaptability, analytical thinking, and a strong sense of ownership.

Will be a plus:

• Higher education in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.

• Foundational Test Automation: Basic scripting skills (Python, JavaScript, Java, or C#) and hands-on experience with framework maintenance or running automated test suites.

• CI/CD Integration: Experience running test suites within CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).

• Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, k6) and network traffic analyzers (Charles, Fiddler, Wireshark).

• Knowledge of security testing principles or ISTQB Advanced/Manager certifications.
