We are looking for a Middle DevOps Engineer to join our team based in Smart Village, at the heart of Cairo’s technology ecosystem.

What You Will Do

• Work with Linux environments, services, and networking tools.

• Participate in web projects deployment and web server setup (Nginx, Apache, Varnish).

• Work with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and infrastructure-related tasks.

• Use Git, Terraform, and CI/CD tools in daily work.

• Automate tasks using Bash, Python, or PowerShell.

• Participate in troubleshooting and maintaining infrastructure stability.

• Collaborate with the engineering team to support and improve infrastructure solutions.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

• At least 2 year of commercial experience as a DevOps Engineer or Developer.

• Solid understanding of Linux basics: file systems, permissions, services, and networking tools.

• Understanding of network fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, load balancers, VPN.

• Experience with web projects deployment, including:

• web server setup (Nginx, Apache, Varnish);

• application deployments;

• database setup (MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MSSQL);

• troubleshooting infrastructure and deployment-related issues.

• Strong proficiency with at least one cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Basic understanding of Git workflows.

• Hands-on familiarity with Terraform and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or similar.

• Practical experience with at least one scripting language: Bash, Python, or PowerShell.

• Fluent written and spoken English.

Having at least one of the following certifications will be a plus:

• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional

• Azure Administrator (AZ-104)

• Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900)

• Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400)

• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
