Vertex Technologies, a global supplier of software engineering and IT outsourcing services, is looking for a Junior Java Developer. You’ll be part of a team of professionals who are ready to find the best tailor-made IT solutions for their multinational clients in various industries and solve complex problems.

Tasks for the first 3 months:

• Study the necessary technologies according to an individual development plan.

• Practical study of new material.

• Complete internship involving real projects and the application of the studied technologies.

What we expect from you:

• A passion for learning and a willingness to continuously improve your skills.

• Excellent knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming principles, particularly in Java.

• Solid understanding of Java Core functionalities.

• Experience writing Unit tests to ensure code quality.

• Skills working with relational or NoSQL databases.

• Familiarity with the concepts of the Spring framework.

• Understanding of HTTP/HTTPS and RESTful APIs.

• Experience working with Git or similar version control systems.

• Experience with project-building tools like Maven or Gradle.

• Willingness to learn and grow into a Full Stack engineer, working with a variety of technologies beyond Java to solve complex engineering challenges.

• Confident technical English for comprehending documentation and expressing your ideas clearly.

Will be a plus:

• Knowledge of Spring Boot and its functionalities.

• Understanding of Object-Relational Mapping (ORM) tools like Hibernate.

• Adherence to established design principles such as DRY, KISS, YAGNI, and SOLID principles for maintainable and scalable code.

• Experience working with Docker or other containerization tools.

• Knowledge of JavaScript and a basic understanding of front-end frameworks like Angular or React.

• Experience with AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, etc.) in SDLC: code generation, debugging, testing, documentation, refactoring.
